Surfer, Lifeguard, and Actor Tamayo Perry Dies at 49
An Accomplished North Shore Waterman and Honololu Ocean Safety Veteran
Tamayo Perry, an eight-year veteran of Honolulu Ocean Safety and well-known North Shore waterman, has passed away at the age of 49.
Perry was known for his big-wave surfing skills and also had a successful acting career, appearing in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Blue Crush, and Hawaii Five-0. He also made a cameo in a Coca-Cola commercial.
Perry's death has shocked the surfing community, and tributes have been pouring in from friends and colleagues. He is survived by his wife and two children.
